Spirits of Music - The Flute

The second in my series of Music spirits. Done with mechanical pencil on 9" x 14" sketchbook paper.

This is incredible! The attention to detail is a feast for the eyes, especially considering you did it with pencil and not with some program.
I think my favorite part is the visual expression of the music pouring from the flute. I also love the way the pattern in her dress complements the border. Lovely!

  I'm trying to keep working on the art part of my life.. It's slowed down of course, since midterms started back up again (and now will continue all the rest of the semester until finals come up and bite me).
  
  But hey! I might get some more done on the next installment today.

I love it!!! it looks so awsome. I agree with your choice for the background. You did an awsome job linking up your pics. The detail and textures look so good. I'm in total awe

  i know you'll be able to do it! ^_^ i just hope my net will let me at least view them. my net connection keeps dropping in and out and my friend that has an account on here ended up with 7 of the same comments once, coz it kept restarting and resending the message. so embarrassing.

  No worries. It happens sometimes. If you end up accidentally having 7 of the same comments, let me know (or something of that type). I can delete them easily enough.
  
  Hopefully your net connection gets better, though. It's crappy not being able to surf cleanly.

This is just gorgeous! The details are amazing..... and you drew the flute right too! (You wouldn't believe how many people can't do that O.o) I can't imagine how much patience it took to finish something this big.
