Inuyasha: Sesshomaru

Posted Oct 7, 2005, 2:45:00 PM UTC

This is a picture I promised LadyAnime quite some time ago, alas, I got caught up with college and the life surrounding it, and it fell by the way side. Well, this weekend, I finally said, "Heidi, get this done,", and I did! Happy belated birthday Kristina, and thank you for being such a marvelous friend.
I took this image into PSP 7 and played around with it alot. This is the first image I've done a real 'mixing' of effects, and I think it turned out nicely. Also, what, or who, could Sesshomaru be thinking about? Hmmm...*winks at Lady*

A screenshot was used a reference for this ;) Inuyasha isn't mine :D

This is gorgeous! There's such a dreamy, floaty kind of quality to this; and absolutely brilliant use of the watercolor effect. It has that feudal-Japan look to it... You never cease to amaze, Heidi! ^_^

I really like the effects you used. A lot of times, filters can KILL a piece. You did a nice job not killing. His face looks a bit smooshy, but profiles are hard to draw--I make no claims to be able to draw them. I avoid them at all costs. Violently.
    • Oct 7, 2005, 7:32:43 PM UTC
Thank you thank you. Big Smile
And what do you mean by smooshy (I can correct this lickedy split)?

A person's chin sticks out further than their forehead; his looks like it's slightly too far back. I'd just scoot his lower jaw forward ever so slightly.
        • Oct 7, 2005, 7:37:05 PM UTC
Yes I see! But, his head is tilted downward and his mouth slightly ajar, you think it could be the angle that's throwing you off?
          • Oct 7, 2005, 7:39:57 PM UTC
It could be. I don't know, it still seems like his chin is a bit too far back. It looks like it's in direct line with his forehead, not a bit in front of. Then again, it could be the angle. Erg, I don't know, lol.

Laughing I'll give the sketch a good going over once I get back to my dorm; I'll fiddle with the chin a bit and see what I get! Thanks for the input!
              • Oct 8, 2005, 10:51:17 AM UTC
Sure thing. And let me know if it does turn out to just be the angle or something. I'd hate to have harped over something that doesn't exist.

Woohoo! Righteous! Thank you again so much for the beautiful picture Heidi. I absotively love it. Now, you know, he should really stop THINKING about me and just come and get me already. I have been waiting very patiently. Laughing You are so very good with your Paint shop. I mean, the background is phenomenal honey. It really makes the sketch of him stand out. His pose is so wonderful honey. And the way you drew his robes and his armor is breath-taking. You always amaze me with your work my dear. I am so proud to have such a beautiful picture from you. All my love forever.
