Well, I did warden's duty this weekend at MotuMoana Scout group and wanted to practise with my markers, so I flicked together this pic. I actually wanted it to be Bryan smileing, but for some reason, Bryan looked odd with a big doofy grin like that so I made it Alex. Had to buy a blue specially for this pic too. Would've liked a darker brown [smiley] I must wait for new stock [smiley]

And may I SCREAM IN PAIN at the BLOODY BLUE SMUDGING ONTO MY HAND!! I had to blender out SO much blue on Alex's face on this!! DOOM! So.... he's a little more tanned than usual. >.> Really.

PROMARKER HAVE A SILVER PEN!!! LOVE!!!

<edit> Wow- I'm loving Alex in nobel gear at the moment XD He looks so smexy with his hair all slicked back XD *glomps Alex* </edit>

Do give pointers for marker usage if you have any T.T

This looks great Ark! He looks gorgeous^^ I especially love his eyes and his smile [smiley] The coloring looks wonderful too^^ I'd never think it was done with marker [smiley] The only thing I can point out is that his arm seem a little higher than it should be. Other than that it looks great. New fave! [smiley]

[smiley] Yeah- cropped arms are difficult to get right- specially since it's a traditional pic and not digetal. That expression took me aaaaages to get right though XD I wanted his smile to look genuine, and not forced, but getting the mouth on the right angle proved difficult- I had to pix myself grinning >.> (Not pretty)It looks very Alex though which is what I really wanted ^^ I need to practise on paper that takes the felt more though- this pic bled HEAPS. Yuo can't see it shrunk, but the rea version is [smiley] (colours are nicer on the origanal)

I have yet to draw someone smiling, but I'm sure it probably isn't that easy... Your effort payed off though^^ Don't say that! I think you're very pretty [smiley]

No- me taking photos of myself and gwaffing myself out isn't XD LOLs! The smile isn't the problem- it's all the other thing s faces do when they smile [smiley] It's not just a wide grin. It's cheek creases, narroewed eyes, raised brows etc... I've got a book dedicated to all that kind of stuff. It's awesome ^^

It's nice that you can see some illustrations in Amazon. I could really learn alot from that book [smiley] Btw you inspired me to draw a man smiling too [smiley] I'll post it later, I'll surely need some pointers^^

Yays!! ^^ I do recommend that book. I never truely realised what muscles pulled when you smile. None of my faces look plastic anymore. It's morphed my art. And I've barely read it. It's seriously worth the read- BUY!!!

Sorry- I didn't understand you XD The novel is a long way off, but it currently does have 3 comics ^^ Slayers Game... I know of 1 purchasable copy, and Final Sunset is curently only available in New grounds, but will be a stand alone hopefully by April. I have to get 10 pages for it done by September >.< Those are able to be bought ^^
