Featherfall

Another picture I'm semi-proud of, though it's been close to a year since I completed it. The character's name is Elana, but her nickname is Feather.

I hope it's alright that I'm posting such old artwork. ^^; I'll post some new stuff when I do it, but I wanted to put something up here.

Another quite beautiful piece. I love the perspective you've don this in and how everything is focusing on her with the lighting. Lovely work~

I like this one. It's simple. Nice angle.

I really like her expression here, and the light and the way it sparkles a little on the stones. Everything looks so pretty (but then, your enitre gallery is very pretty as well!)

And as for old works, some of my favorite pieces of my own are ones I did years ago: since then I've improved a lot technically, but sometimes I've managed to capture something in a piece that just makes it special, and despite any flaws I can see I still like it very much.

I think it's healthy to be fond of our own creations: after all, if you don't like your own work, you'll only end up wishing you could draw like someone else, and you'll never be happy with what you have.

And being happy is what it's all about, to me. ^^

Very true! I never quite thought of it that way, but I know what you mean. Smile

I totally agree with Minimaid. Posting old stuff is cool, because we can see how you progressed, what problems you had in the beginning and how you fixed it, and all that other stuff. Big Smile And it helps us inexperienced folks out, too.

And seriously, if this is where you started...O.O I can't WAIT to see what's to come!

Haha, well this was about a year ago. Not necessarily when I -started-, but I do consider it old hat now. At the time, I was really proud of myself. ;D

You should still be. Your coloring is amazing. Laughing Me, I'm waaay too lazy to color nowadays.

Awesome stuff Thumbs Up I love the detail you put into the stones. Great job ^_^

You've done a beautiful job of rendering this piece. I'm excited to see you post more!

Don't worry about posting old work, either. My theory is that if we post as we get experience, those that watch us can see how we grow and learn. If this is your starting point, you'll be a master before too long. Smile Welcome to PD!

Wow nice work on this. I know you probably think this is weird but my favorite part is the stones.

Hah, thank you! ^_^ I think I spent more time on the stones than on her, really, lol.
