'Captured' WIP

The WIP of my entry for the Meadowhaven contest.
This is Adele's character Faeren, which I simply loved to draw ^^

It's still very much a work in progress, as you can see. The sketch is on top (lots of butterflies and trees and all x_X). The only thing actually finished is that one tree plus the grass. The latter killed my hand. So MANY individual strokes.

The idea in this is, that Faeren is slowly becoming a part of the forest. His cloak is slowly turning into the tree you see on the right. The same tree is holding Faeren's wrists with his branches. Also, Faeren's feet have turned into roots.
Though, there is still a smile on his face, because his butterflies are still there, never abandoning him, keeping him sane.
