Vampire Hunter

We are either blessed or cursed. Some are both blessed and cursed, but I know I am not one of those rare souls. I know I am cursed in more ways than one.

Most mistake me to be a silnen from the Crescent Forest. They are only half right. I am half silnen, on my mother's side. I am cursed, because my other half is from demonic parasite, that feeds on the blood of others to keep himself alive. I am the offspring of the most feared monster to walk the world. I am the son of a vampire, a dhampir. That is but one reason why I am cursed.

And no, I am not a ranger. Others mistake me to be one just by the way I dress. They, though, do not notice the necklace of fangs around my throat. I am a vampire hunter and slayer. I do not wish for vampires to grow as powerful as my father did, and so that there will be no other dhampirs to share the same fate that I do. Also, I slay these abominations of life because I wish to die. I cannont take my own life, for my father's spirit will take over my body and pull the knife away. I wish one of these vampires to slay me, but I know my father. He is waiting for his vessel to ripen, and he will not let his prized son die. I am trapped, and I have no escape. That is another reason why I am cursed.

One my newest characters, Lael. This is perhaps the best picture of him yet. I'm really happy how this turned out. I hoped I achieved a haunted look, because that was what I was aiming for.
