WIP Valentine 10th kiss fanart

This is what I have done so far on my fanart for Inu Hanyou Nikkie 's ficlet "Valentine 10th Kiss". Even though I've gotten a lot done, I've still got a lot  farther to go on it but I've hit a slight sag in my motivation and need a nice little kick in the pants to finish it. It's already *counts* over five months since I first drew it (three of those were devoted to two plushies I made) and I really want to say that I actually did get somewhere with it and to show Inu Hanyou Nikkie that I really did get inspired by the ficlet. But since I've had a bit of ....rough...break lately I'm doubting my work so far, and so I'd like a little feedback on if I've made any glaring mistakes. Bare in mind that not all the base colors are down yet and no shading/shadowing has actually been done so I'm really looking at proportions, Inu's beads, eye and body positioning, if it really looks like Kagome is kneeling behind a bush and if the bush is large enough. Any suggestions will be welcome but the suggestion to redraw is out of the question - I never redraw once I scan it in as I correct my mistakes from the scan. Inu's head is supposed to be slightly tilted and one ear (our right) is turned toward Kagome who is slightly behind and to the (our) right of him.
