The first page of my comic... they're all in .gif format on the webpage, 'cause it was convenient at the time. So I have to convert them to .png's for this PaperDemon and deviantART.

I'm not posting anymore pages for some time... at least, not until I've got a good twenty or so pages of the comic. [smiley]

Ah- ok. If you do deside to, even if you've only got a few pages up, the comic section is REALLY cool cause you can have int pages and everything SEQUENCIALLY- I can't get enough of the comics section ^^

Heheh. Yeah, when I have a bunch of pages I'll start a comic line through Paper Demon. Until then, I'm trudging along at about ten hours a page. D:

I had a month to do 11 more pages for this comic- a comic I wont be making money on till April (If I DO make any money at all >.> NZ Doesn't support their local talent with comics that well), and I have all this rush cause they didn't approve my script for 4 months T.T Mind you, I think I still would've been slow given the 4 months I should've had XD LOL!

Yeesh. At this stage in my art, I'm avoiding a deadline for comic pages like the plague. But then, I've got so many other responsibilities. How did you do it?

(NZ, you say? My dad's from the Cook Islands, and lived in NZ for several years. I think that anywhere you go, though, comics aren't too well appreciated. Japan and maybe the UK excepted.)

I donno. For a very long time, people actually AVOIDED NZ comic artists cause they acted like beggars, asking premium prices for crap quality an presented comics/art. They would literally GUILT you into buying it. Maybe there would be ONE rose in the thorns, and they'd get ridiculed for selling too much and not come back.

My friend Vic started up this company Blue scar (The DA page is here http://bluescarproductions.deviantart.com/ ) where she printed a comic 'Tour Girls in the 23rd Century' in a professional looking comic, and even though we haven't sold much till recently now we have a good rep, and decent artists have started making an effort to come to cons cause the market has started to come back again. IT was very difficult in the beginning- I use to dress up as a Tour Girl and promote it. That got attention, but for a long time, people were scared of it cause it was a local comic.

I'm not sure how well I'll sell my current comic- not cause of the quality, but the market. If people don't give me a chance, then I wont get sales, but if they do, I'm sure they'll buy it. There is a BIG difference between that kind of attitude and one of a country that just doesn't support the art well. People in NZ actually fled for us for a long time. I hope it fixes its self soon [smiley]
