At the start of this year, I joined an art exchange on livejournal.com. Since I'm pretty good with gryphons and I have a few gryphon characters myself, I joined up with GAX, a gryphon art exchange. I've signed up off and on depending on the month and how busy I figure I'll be during that month. This was the first picture I did for the exchange way back in Febuary. I can't for the life of me remember who it was for though.
Anyway, the lineart was done in real-media ink, the color and everything was done in Adobe Photoshop 7.0. I went for a more DIsney-ish look for it, simplified and all that from what I normally do for gryphons.

Thalion (Reply)Total Posts: 27Sep 24, 2007 6:11 pmI agree that the head's kinda small. All the references I had for the gryphon had a smaller head. I figure it was just how the gryphon was. ^_^ I've seen a few 'pinhead' animals. Larger bodies with small heads, mostly mutt animals like my cat or my friend's dog. XD |
