This started as a spiffy gryphon sketch, but along the way I got this mental image of him soaring along a coastline, banking to his left. Then it didn't seem dynamic enough, so I tilted the horizon line. That was a pain to do, let me tell you.
I started coloring this at one point, but I have ZERO patience for painting feathers, so I gave it up. It's still sitting around in my files somewhere, with some seriously cool clouds in the background, but until I build up the courage, I'm not touching it. xD
