Prism Spirit

Posted Sep 16, 2007, 3:10:09 AM UTC

This was done for the Reflections contest two years ago. The theme was "I wonder why...", and I chose why water turns light in to rainbows. So here we are. A lovely water spirit sits and waits for beams of light to come to her. Then she takes them and breaks them, letting the rainbow spill out for our eyes to see. I got an honorable mention at the district level (actually kinda cheap, considering how hard I worked on this puppy). Today it is sitting sadly in my portfolio with proof on its surface that our cats haven't been declawed. :(  And yes, I KNOW her head is huge. ><

Crayola colored pencils and ink, with white acrylic details.

Very neat idea! I love the colors and composition, and especially the shading work on the rocks. Smile

Yee, another comment from you! I've had a lot of people compliment me on the rocks. xD When I was working on it, I never noticed how long I took coloring those things. xD
