Too much detail...too much detail... *falls over*  Still uncertain whether to finish this in pencil or to paint it.  Either way it will kill me.

Hard to explain this one, but suffice to say it's a rivalry of power in nature, one fragile and beautiful and bound to the earth, the other dark and shrewd and commanding the sky.  Tried to show contrast not only in their expressions, but also in the nature around them--Faeren has more swirly, mossy forest and butterflies, while Morgan has mostly stick-like branches.  Morgan steals his powers from the wood, they are not given to him freely.  His wings are also stolen, but that's a long story.  ^__^;

There's so much detail but it doesn't really take away from the picture or clutter your view. It really kind of moves your eye through the piece so you notice more and more of the picture, little details, and little implicates of the story. I love how the two smaller figures kind of contrast eachother, one looks like he's struggling against the wood's hold on him while Faeren looks almost liberated by it. It's got kind of a yin-yang effect. Very lovley work. :3

*nods along* I can imagine this will kill you indeed o__o
The lineart is looking even lovelier than the sketch did. Beautiful.
I agree with Thalion. There are so many details, but they do not take away from the picture, they only add to it and do not distract. It is also the kind of piece in which one *keeps* spotting new details. Drawings like that fascinate me, I can stare at them for ages. Which is what I am doing at this moment.

I love the way you drew the hair and how it is turning into branches. Also, the expressions on the face are lovely.

Lastly, I admire the way you drew the full bodies. The anatomy is perfect and I really like the poses.

When I saw the sketch, I thought you should finish it in digital, but seeing it now, I am not sure either... I think that it will look good either way, actually, as long as you make sure details are not lost in the pencil piece...
I am looking forward to seeing the end result! Good luck [emoticon]

So much detail, but I wouldn't say it's excessive. It's a lovely image, and I really like that there's something to look at and admire pretty much anywhere you look in the frame. Wonderful work!
