PD OC Party!

Yays! I'm thinking of starting a series of PD party pics that people can contribute to and get to know OCs. I thought I should try it out myself ^^ Of corse, Alex has no skill at poker what so ever XD It's cause he can't read people ^^; Luls.

Hmmm... I do love my Au version of a canon character from one of my fanfics. Would he count? He's a gay cross-dressing actor? And very pretty too! XD I was planning on drawing him one of these days. *laughs* If he's good enough to count, then I'll make a point of drawing him this weekend for you. The only thing he has in common with his canon counterpart is his stage name is the same as the canon character's & sexuality. *winks*

I'm not sure entirely what you mean, but as long as it's original it'll be fine. What's he doing- hitting on someone? I've only got straight characters, but to of mine could be seen as gay by their actions >.> Donno...

Oaky, well, I drew him and the link is below. He's listed in the fanart gallery, even though, he's becoming more & more an original character. Anyways there's a whole description of him there with his portrait. If you can use him; great! If not, it's okay as I've been wanting to do a pic of him anyways.

As long as he's original, it's fine- I suggest introducing him into the party so others knows how he acts

Although, I'm still not sure about him... he's in a fuzzy grey area & a really don't want to cause any trouble for you. ^^; While I do think of him as "original" there are other people who wouldn't because he's he's AU. If I went into all my AU stories & removed the canon character's (that he's based off of) name; people would say he's original. I'm what I'm saying is I'm really not sure what do here. *sighs*

As long as he has enough character placed in a situation without the fandom characters then they're fine. I will allow a plushie fandom character- simply cause it's cute, but the main plot is the OCs- not fandoms

I'm not sure I understand you ^^; but I think if I were to rewrite it & take out all the fandom names, it would then be considered original, because, while it takes place in the same place as the fandom, it's 500 years plus into the future of the time period when his canon character (or fandom character) appears. That said... I have the feeling he's probably a no go. ^^; The only other thing I can tell you to do is read/skim through a short story featuring both of them and let uyou decide.

No- it's up to you. essentially, if this character can exist and still be interesting and full of personality without the fandom character, and that you created them (or have permission from the person that DID make them).

Essentially, I don't want any wall flowers at the party. If they don't know how to interact without the love of their life beside them, or don't know what to do without their life long quest, then they aren't gonna be interesting. That's how I define it. Alot of fancharacters CAN be interesting by themselves IF that's your character, then go for it. Even if it's a little Sue-ish- some Sues are interesting. Depends on how you play them. Do draw them into the party though. Noone is gonna just grab your character- you need to gate crash this party Have them suddenly turn up with a hand of poker or something XD

Okay... I'm thinking I'm not making myself clear here. The character I'm talking about who'd have a blast at this party, is the AU (alternate reality) version of a canon character. Actually the way I have written it in the one story he's the canon character's reincarnation. So while his personality is similar & he was lucky enough to find his former love's reincarnation as well as a friend, he has a completely different occupation, has outlived the canon character by half a life time,. I like many fanfic writers don't have permission to use the original character, (welcome to the fuzzy grey area of fanfiction; some authors don't care; some do & besides, how does one go about contacting a famous author for permission to play with characters? by the time you got all the lawyers together you'd find something else to write about). Now if that is okay with you, he'll be there, as dressed or undressed as the invitation says.


I don't think he's a Sue, but he is fun at parties. As an actor he makes living palying "women's roles" and is so good at that that when he's cross-dressing he's often mistaken for a woman, not he minds because he's gay & proud of it, & he's not in the least bit shy.

So if he fits your description of what's allowed he'll be there & he'll leave his sweetie at home. If not, there's always next time.

How close to the original character is he? If this new life he's leading has changed 50% of his personality, like, even if his looks have only changed slightly, but his personality and interests are totally different, then I'd think it's ok. At that point, he's more of a fancharacter. Sorry- using abbreviations like AU mean nothing to me till I'm explained it- I try to type out Original character as much as I can rather than OC, till people know what I'm on about.

Um... yeah. As long as he's different enough then it should be fine ^^

I spoke to another friend of mine who writes, she also betas for me & she's of the opinion that they are far enough removed from the originals personality wise that they can be considered mine. She said to think of them as a reflection of the original.
So I guess Hibiya Jackson is going to a party... *laughs*

That's all I need to hear I just want a place for people to celebrate original art cause alot of it is fanart, and seriously- not many OCs get love cause they're unknown This is a good way to get them out there
