An old sketch from an original story.  Kuragari is modeled after my boyfriend.  He's a soldier and a loner like Yuki.  That's why they get along so well.  His name means 'darkness', much like how he projects himself and his personality.  If you don't know him, Kuragari seems aloof, distant, and silent.  However, once you have earned his friendship, like Yuki, he is a valuable ally and loyal friend.  ^^

this is a nice portrait. I like the waviness of his hair. the trim on his lapels is a nice detail too.

his features of his face look like they may be a bit big. i had an art teacher once tell me that when we are drawing we have a tendency to draw the things that are most important to us at a bigger scale unconciously. Try looking back from your work and squinting at it every once in a while to do a proportions test. it usually helps me a lot.
