YAY! It's finished! My first finished piece of art of the new year! Lets hope I can keep up a faster trend this year than the ending of last. -_-0

Anywhoo, this is a Christmas pressie for Russu. She told me I had to draw my char from one of our RP's that is dead. *sighs*

Here's a little info about him:
Born from wyvern and wraith he is an outcast even to his own kind. His fair complection and appearance often mistakes him for a woman and gets him into trouble, whether he's avoiding it or not. He bears two small dragon-like wings on his back which he tries to hide as often he hides himself.
Silent and kept to himself, Faren is very reserved and calm, and generally tries to avoid trouble…. He’s quite intelligent, but because he doesn’t speak, everyone thinks him a dumb, deaf mute and usually thinks to take advantage of him. Because of his mixed breeding, he tries to avoid towns and cities and generally anyplace inhabited by other “human” life, though on the rare occasion he must travel into such places, it’s usually for gathering supplies he would not normally be able to find out in the wilderness and that’s always when trouble finds him, no matter how hard he tries to avoid it.

About the pic: I totally ripped off the pose from Saimain and her portrait of a character she drew, Ildera. So yeah. just giving her credit--for the pose. >.<

Also, can I just say that immitating pearl with colored pencil IS FUCKING HARD! The base of the comb in his hair is supposed to be pearl and that was like a freaking bitch to do.

Plus, this is not a shit crop job, I'm just an idiot and drew too big.

And, because I'm a dumb ass and didn't look at my notes, Faren now had blue highlights in his hair instead of purple. Yeah, I suck.

Wow, great use of colors. I like the lineart a lot too, especially the hands. :] Though.. I think his/her chin is a little too big..? Or standing out too much, I don't know.

But other than that, really great work! -adds to faves-

^_^0 Yeah I know, I had issues with the chin--I always do with any character I draw, but this was the best looking one I could do out of the 10 times I redrew him. >.< Thanks for the comment and crit!

Aaah, okay, I see. Smile Well, at least you didn't take my comment negatively (as some people do these days ^^; ). And, no problem, you're welcome! Smile

Wow! It's so... What's the word I'm looking for? Expressive doesn't quite catch it... Very nice. Seems a bit oddly proportioned, but that just enhances the 'ART' in it. *Shakes head* Lovely.
