Muscle references resized and darkened in paint. Thanks to Arkillian for giving me the tips for paint. I'm computer illiterate when it comes to art!

cruffins (Reply)Total Posts: 423Feb 15, 2008 6:13 pmI know, I've got some weird program that came with my tablet that I've tried to use but it's just as hard as photoshop. I need to find something user-friendly. --- You be our friend?? yes? |

cruffins (Reply)Total Posts: 423Feb 15, 2008 6:29 pmits not the scanner- I now have a healthy artist-scanner relationship with mine. I just have no skill with computer programs and editing my art. I'd love to learn how to color my lineart on the computer, but I'm not that good with those types of programs. --- You be our friend?? yes? |

arkillian (Reply)Total Posts: 2798Feb 15, 2008 9:08 pmYou use paint right? There's no relationship there hon. Score a copy of Photoshop, or try googling GIMP. That's like photoshop and its free. I can't tell you how to use it, but Paint is full of suck and woe. My picture viewing programs are more powerfull than paint --- |

cruffins (Reply)Total Posts: 423Feb 17, 2008 3:31 pmactually I don't use anything on the computer. i just use paint to change file types. with this one I needed to darken the sketch so I tried this one time editing thing. the original sketches are much better I assure you, they're just too light for pd. *sigh* i kinda hate computer editing programs. the eat my art. --- You be our friend?? yes? |

arkillian (Reply)Total Posts: 2798Feb 17, 2008 5:51 pmIf you use something better than gimp, you can tinker with levels which darkens your black and greys seperatly. Also, if you have a good program, you can scan big, and shrink to a smooth look. You can't do that with paint cause paint doesn't do a gradual reduction. It's all on a 1 or the other basis. Look into Gimp. Seriously --- |

cruffins (Reply)Total Posts: 423Mar 12, 2008 5:20 pmthanks. I pretended to actually work out in a gym to spy some guys and doodle these. I hid my sketch book in a magazine then endured riding an exercise bike for 15 mins just to keep up the pretense....XP --- You be our friend?? yes? |
