I have finished my newest art piece. This is a unique little painting on wood! I got the wood plaque for Christmas and have been wanting to paint something on it ever since. This is my Stump Hollow Bunny! I imagined this little grove where critters lived in trees. I may have to do more Stump Hollow residents. Modeled after my adorable bunny Cappy this piece is way more stunning in person.Johnnie got me roses the other day so I had to put one in there, it is my first painted flower. The wood has a little hanger on the back so you can just hang it on the wall. The dimensions are about 14 inches tall and 10 inches wide

Ash Evans (Reply)Total Posts: 182Apr 3, 2008 10:30 amIt does, I had the hardest time photographing it because of the sealant I put on the wood after I finished painting it. I get a washout or a glare or both because the surface is shiny. In retrospect I should have taken it before I varnished it.I will try to get a better on this weekend because it is a great piece. Painting on wood isn't too bad but it dries almost instantly so you have to be quick, which is an odd transition from oils for me. --- |
