The odd song inspires me to draw a picture, and Linkin Park is really good at inspiring emotions in me, this particular song- Leave out all the rest, its touches a spot in me that created the High King, Bryan's Grandfather. He rules over a vast country with an iron fist, and is all about doing it for the better of his people. However, his views of what is for the greater good is not always the best good, and he ends up hurting a great minority of his country. This breaks his heart, but for the good of his country, he doesn't let it show.
Bryan however, he never gave him the chance to hurt him, cause his future self already had.
Leave out all the rest is a beautiful song that's about a man who feels that he has done alot of wrong in his life- probably an abusive father/husband, and in the song he has a realisation of what a terrible person he is, and asks that people remember who he was, but not what he did.
I've based the High King's face off George Clooney (is it recognisable?
), and in this picture, he's trying very hard to appear strong, and capable, but I can imagine in this picture that Bryan has just given him back his crown, saying that he'd rather die than wear it. The High King always wanted a son to pass his heir onto- this is a very difficult moment for him, the humbling feeling of rejection for family
