I was looking through Oscar Wilde's Salome, and saw Aubrey Beardsley's illustrations. So I wanted to do something purely black and white. I generally build on my mechanical pen lines, adding line weight. I didn't use as much line weight for this one, which is more of Beardsley's style. Anyhow, there's no particular story behind this, though I was listening to broadway music while I was drawing it. Heheh. Salome is really interesting. Has a similar feel to Macbeth, I think.

Mechanical pens, a prismacolor marker and a copic liner. Might color later.

Upon first seeing this, I immediately thought "Beardsley". Great job! I love the balance of white vs black and the stippling you've done.
