Made with Painter IX and Wacom Cintiq.
So this is for PD theme week. I appologize for not doing something more than just a little doodle. But I've been busy with some more...er... serious doodles at work.
Work has been crazy lately. At work our team has been busilly working on a set of illustrations. I've been working until midnight every work day. All night long I toss and turn and dream that I'm still working! Er... I can't give more details than that but I hope you see them and I hope you enjoy them. Ok so that was cryptic but those who know where I work will understand.
Seriously, I have not had quality sleep in a while. And I'll be working pretty hard for the next couple weeks. I can't wait for the olympics to be over.
I've always wanted to get better with painter but often times the preset tools weren't working for me. I didn't find out until today that there are like hundreds of settings you can tweak if you go to Window > Brush Controls. My boss told me about it since we are using painter for our illustrations. Finally I can get better control of my brushes! Now I just need to figure out how to save them. I tried creating a custom palette and I've been using that for a while now. But the custom palette doesn't save all your settings to your brush, at least mine doesn't. Any Painter users have some suggestions for me?

i figured the special sauce was at least a mix of ketchup and mayo. i didn't know about the tartar sauce or mustard though.
voila! You have your very own, made at home big mac. BTW: if you actually try to make this, let me know how it turns out.
I DO know that I love how you get such a startling watercolor-like look out of it. Even for a doodle, it's totally lovely. <3
I know that the watercolor effect in Photoshop looks a lot like markers if you use a chisel-shaped tip and make sure the settings are set for crisp lines and you don't bleed the edges too much. I'm sure Painter's not that far off - and that would be a sweet way to do Copic Marker-style art digitally.
Looks great for a quick doodle!
not serious as in dirty but serious as in professional (not personal art stuffs)
