Starfields

He had always called it the Starfields, in his mind. A hazy, roiling space of black dappled with streaks of light. Black and silver stars under his feet, the blurry smudge of sunset hues and deeply violet night sky above his head. Starfields was the womb, in a way... warm and comforting and devoid of the passage of time, any time, in any of it's forms. The only thing there of consequence, even worth caring about was the steady beat of an unseen heart, slow, throbbing, rhythmic, yet nonexistent in essence, though it was certainly there.

Starfields also brought out the true light of the being enveloped by it. Thoughts and feeling and intent brought into physical manifestation. The manifestation was without vanity or transparency, but it lacked true substance and purpose.

The all consuming... pointlessness and cloisters of contradictions did nothing but appeal to Valtristus, but it also repulsed him completely with it's perfect logic though it truly had none. A paradox in a place that did not exist, but he was there, and he was healing, and so long as that heartbeat could be felt in the marrow of his bones, his own slowly dying one would continue to beat as well. He couldn't stay here long...

But he would remain there for years.
