PLEASE Full View!
Heya there! =)
I saw the lineart on here and instantly wanted to color it. So I asked 626elemental if I could and she said yes =)
Warning, long Rant
Do you know what? These "happy little accidents" do actually happen. I wanted to color this piece via Watercolors, so I traced the lines, inked it (with my new ink and nib. =) and it was nice
and then I applied the masking fluid i bought recently. I made the background, let it dry, want to peel off the masking fluid and what happens?
The f*&%ing thing ripped my paper! I want my winsor & Newton back...
So I stopped to peel off, looked at the mess, and was angry as hell.
Then I decided to try to cover it up with acrylics. never used acrylics in earnest before, cause they're harder to work with than watercolors.
But long speech: It worked. And the more I worked with the acrylics the more feeling and liking I took to them. Will work more often with them in the future.
The colors are so vibrant and you can cover up mistakes ;)
Technical Stuff:
Tools: Winsor&Newton Nut brown ink, Watercolors, Acrylics, Salt, Schmincke Rubbelkrepp *grrr*
Paper: 300g/m², 100% rag (very nice to work with)
Time taken: started today 9:30 am... now it's 8:50 pm. You do the math.
I'm really happy with the outcome ^-^
