and it weighs me down

Well, heck, as long as I'm uploading all the members of the Osprey crew...This is Malcolm Brody. Spanish. Well, half-Spanish, half-Irish, but that's another story for another day.

Malcolm's the gunner of the ship, and he's sort of a complicated fellow. Very Catholic - or at least he tries to be. But then, the whole piracy thing sort of clashes with quite a few of those "thou shalt nots", and hence he has a lot of guilt and personal angst to work through.

And as if trying to be a Catholic pirate weren't hard enough, he has the doubly bad luck of being attracted to men, and that's a big no-no. More guilt, more angst. Right now he's in an incredibly torrential relationship with the ship's doctor. The whole thing is very messy. Malcolm spends a lot of time in his room, working his frustration out on a homemade punching bag, or hanging out on the top decks of the ship to try and think things over.

When he gets upset (which is easily), he tends to lapse into rapid-fire Spanish, and nobody on the ship has the faintest idea what he's saying.
