Haven't been able to work on this for AGES. It's hard alot of progress since my last post though so I thought I'd make a stand alone update. I don't know if I'm bothered anymore with the tutorial side of it cause I don't think may are actually following it, but I do want to finish it.

Anyways, broke my 9B with the bottom right shadowing T.T Sigh. And this looks super awkward on the screen all scanned XD I'm serious. It looks a TRUCK LOAD better in person. Um... sleeve was great to do- lots of interesting details. I get bored doing clothes cause they're very mundane to me once you've done the form of them. Trying to make the sleeve look like it's un ironed with the cotton stiffness was interesting. [smiley]

Anyways- more later. For now, this proves it's still happening. I'm gonna see if I can get this into my art book for Doujin Overload [smiley]

Gonna open it for critiques while it's still WIP. I can change alot of it still. Go ahead. Have a ball. Be nit picky [smiley] I promise I wont bite ^^ Just realise- I'm not going for photo perfect. I'm going for... what is it... Pleasing to look at ^^ Or something like that.

Thank you [smiley] Detail in hair is alot easier for me to do with pencil I find. It's all about showing the flow of hair with the stroke of your pencil. Alot of things are simpler to me... I donno how people stand digital actually >.>

I agree and I can't really do hair digitally at all. I love the details you put in all your works ^_^ it's all so wonderful.

A bit of time XD It's mostly a combo of having a super sharp reference, and experience in drawing that I have now. That's where it all shows. That, and choosing a picture that's aesthetic. All Sweeney Todd pics are aesthetic though, so that wasn't hard [smiley]

Wow. The details on their clothes are amazing, particularly his sleeve. Pencil stuff always looks better in person, don't worry about that.... I think the scanner reflects on graphite or something [smiley]

Something looks a bit off about Sweeney's face, maybe if you made his chin a bit bigger it would look more natural.

Graphite reflects, but also graphite leaves a 3 dimensional mark on the paper that digital can't pick up. Traditional art gets depth from it's media, and cause of that, it doesn't convert well- scanners can't pick iup the 3D aspect. That, and it adds white noise to the picture, so you lose the high and low end of the tonal spectrum >.> Originals are ALWAYS better ^^;

Thanks ^^ I'm trying not to rush this one cause the clothing does have alot of detailed creases and it's REALLY easy to lax off too much with it. specially with stuff I'm not so good at like clothing. It's easy to take the cheats way out and not learn >.>
