Sore Thumb

Louie, unlike your average pirate, actually comes from very cozy roots. Her family is all kinds of wealthy. High society, topside, all that business. Unfortunately, the more you have, the more people expect of you, and even before she was Louie - back in the days of Amelia Louise - she never did have the slightest taste for all that ladylike nonsense.

Poor, poor Lou. This was doodled in preparation for a comic the boy and I intend to make, and there's going to be at least one scene along these lines; Louie, shortly before running off on her own, stuck at some godawful society party at her parents' insistence. I like drawing my pirates in their pasts, even if they weren't generally fun experiences.

I'm not sure why this turned into an art nouveau thing halfway through, but hey! Yeah!
