This is a favorite page of mine. These were studies done using a tonal method taught by John Clapp. The portrait in the center is of my boyfriend Mike and it took about 40 minutes. The rest were in-class models. Mike has extremely short hair and it was really hard to not make him look old and bald >.< My boyfriend is only 3 1/2 years older than me not 40 ys older!.
