I'll Cover You

 

This was done after I had seen the Helsinki production of RENT last weekend. I got the tickets as birthday present for my husband. The show was great and I felt very touched by the story. It reminded me of my life in the 80's and early 90's and of friends who have been lost to AIDS.   I didn't remember too well what Tom and Angel were wearing in the Helsinki production, so I improvised. The background is a photo I took in 1984 in New York. I decided to use it as a tie in between the story and my personal history.
