Howling at the Moon

Posted Dec 31, 2015, 11:10:17 PM UTC

I do the Thing with the Prismacolor pencils on the colored shipping paper.

This was a design for a friend. :)

There wasn't an elaborate plan. Just "Draw a wolf howling at the moon." So I ran with it. I used a plate for circles...becuase f*ck fancy tools I only ever use once or twice.

Nice ^^ One of my friends does a similar think with custom board. I'm not sure what they call it in America, but it's a light brown fiber pressed board that you can make things with. IT's also called MDF https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medium-density_fibreboard

The prismacolour's thick pigments go well with the medium Smile Nice picture ^^

I love stealing heavy duty packing paper. I also have some particle board as well. I haven't posted that yet as I never finished the collage. It was one of those Halloween/drawlloween things.

Thanks for that link! I can totally find more now! Bwahahah!
I also like using colored construction paper.

The colors just pop out so well.

      Thank you very much!

Yeah- I like using coloured card too Smile I should try more of it. IT's tricky to think in mid tones as a base, but it helps broaden my mindset I found Smile

Most def! I try to keep challenging myself...keeps my skills sharp and I am more interested in my passion. I am definitely going to try all sorts of different colored paper, and different texture.
