Vahn

Whew! I've not had much time to work on drawing lately since I spent a chunk of March traveling; I'm only just now catching up on everything, and I'll be traveling again at the end of the month. This one's a little less refined than my other portraits, but I didn't spend as much time on it, either.

Vahnil--or Vahn, as people call him when he's not in trouble--is a new soldier and Ran's childhood best friend. He aspires to be as great a leader as his father, the former Captain of the Guard, but he's starting at the bottom of the ladder, and doing drills and running errands for officers isn't nearly as glamorous.
