Thanks to Rin

In the episode 89 (when kagome has a flu), Kaede hints that Inuyasha and his friends protect the village when they are not traveling. Especially him.

As I watched Inuyasha fighting one youkai after another to get food for Kagome, I started thinking: “Why, news run vert fast among youkais. They must know how much Inuyasha and his Tessaiga are dangerous, and yet, they keep saying: “Ha, you’re not a match for me, pipsqueak!”.  If they had some good sense, they would run in panick and scream: “ HELP! It’s Inuyasha! I don’t want to die!”

Probably it’s because of the stupid hanyou thing - a proof of how lethal prejudice can be.  So, as much as Inuyasha protects the village, probably the bad guys would fear Sesshomaru’s wrath, not his young brother's.

I like this, the thought of a tough as nails Rin is a really cool post-canon idea.

Hehe, sorry to disappoint you, but the youkais are not afraid of Rin. They're afraid of infuriating Sesshomary.
