Snake - Slytherin - cunning and ambition, or the goals you desire to reach and the logic to navigate the paths to them.

Phoenix - strength of will - burn, survive, rise again. Also predominantly golden colors, because gold has been shorthand in my mind for a long time for heavenly things - for ideals and glory, for wonder (the golden hour), for the power to make the world a better place.

Ship's wheel - steering and aiming and setting course. Links to the snake's ambition as the star links to the phoenix's hope. Also goes thematically with an anchor necklace my friend gave me, which I still wear - for grounding in stormy times.
