Garbed Like Egypt

The second part of a ceramics final I had earlier in the year. The assignment was to make a vessal that incorperated a human or animal form in the style of a pre-industrial culture. I chose to do an ancient egyptian egret, since it wasn't likely that a bunch of students had done so before. I actually made two egrets, but only had time to finish this one in time for the final con5 firing, so the other wasn't finished until the next semester started.

Art belongs to me. Don't steal.

It looks cute!~ I miss doing ceramics. Well, college and job hunting first? I guess it is back to polymer clay until then.

Thanks! I don't do as much ceramics as I should either, it is a lot of fun. I'm thinking the next thing I'll do in clay will be a dolphin. I've never used polymer clay before, haven't really thought to.
