Slayer's Game #1 cover WIP

Well, since we're going colour for the reprint of Slayer's Game #1, I've desided to give it a new cover- cause its fun, and cause the black and whites are still specia- they are my first babies *theoretically*, and should get the respect they demand. That and Wraytheeustacy did such an AWESOME job colouring my lineart ( http://www.paperdemon.com/artview.php/id/2802.html )  that I couldn't even dream of bringing up to justice in my current digetal skills.

Anyways- this is a posting mostly so scarmander (the boss of the comic company this is for ) can see what I'm thinking for a cover a the moment. So far, the covers have been limp of interest- this one has promise though. So, I'm labelling this as Potluck- only for layout and colour suggestions etc... Things like the hand in the forground? The objects in the background? Haven't formed them cause those ideas aren't solid. Lucien in the foreground is solid for this concept to work.

Basically- Lucien in the foreground with a side on shadow (you can sort of see my thoughts over the face), with Lucien pysically playing a game of chess- the white peice in the BG are protecting what will be a MUCH beter looking castle if this is approved, and Lucien is clicking his fingers as if to order the attack on them. *cue- muhahah*

Thoughts?
