Outlier

Art of my oldest main character Khat. I love how she comes out in art (though the stripes kill me a little every time, heh), but she pretty much sits inn a field of spoilers, so a lot of the pieces I do make of her never make it online, RIP. I wanted to make something expressive and fun after all those gifts, so this came out. Sketching this I had paint imagery in mind, though somewhere along the line it turned into more of this wind/light/sand feel, which I like a lot.

Art and character belong to me~

The markings are fantastic, though. They really add a lot, so I'd say it's worth the effort. It took me a second to pick up on the swirly lights, I'd probably bring those more to the forefront with brighter colors :3
I also really like the cool blue in the eye compared to the heat of the rest of the image. Really makes it pop!

Thank you! I have no intention of getting rid of them for that reason, though I was just acknowledging that it'll be extra work for me~ That's fair, making them a bit brighter would not hurt, though I want to keep that coppery feel to it.

The cool vs warm was a distinct part of her design from the start, I like to have contrasts of some kind in all of my designs, it helps keep them interesting, though in this one it does particularly stand out Smile

Oh, pretty. <3 I was getting almost a kintsugi vibe at first?

Really? I had not intended that, but now that you mention it, it is *extremely* fitting in multiple ways. Thanks!
