Calendar Gurlz - January

My first drawing of the new year. Woot! Anyway, I have been working on this little project of mine for a while now. Yes, folks... you guessed it. I am making a calendar...of sorts. So here is my little Miss January. And I am having a hard time thinking of what to draw for the month of August. There really is nothing significant about August, so if anyone has any ideas, please send them my way.
Anywhoo...I will be posting one a day, so be looking for Miss February sometime tomorrow. I hope you guys like her. My love to you all. Mwah! ^_^

I love your calendar idea! I actually had a similar idea a few years ago, but never finished anything. (Great minds think alike? )
This is so cute. What better way to start the year than with a redhead? lol! I really like that you have her ice skating. She looks like she's having a ton of fun! And I hate to disagree with dear Heidi, but I honestly like the background and think it complements the whole scheme of the picture. Nice work ^_^

August is the best month for walking down old beaten paths. The weather is almost always perfect for it - the trees are just barely starting to yellow, and everything smells so... yummy and fresh and almost-autumny. Does that help?

The shading and colouring on this is, as usual, superb, luv. It's good to see you back in business. *mwah!*

  Your ideas always help me sweetheart. Thank you so much. And it feels good to get some drawings in. I have 2 more posted now. February and March. I am going to post one a day. I am having so much fun with these. Oh... and before I forget to tell you... I got my very first commission. Can you believe that? ME! A commission! *way excited* And a large one at that. I have been asked to do illustrations for a book someone is writing. Is that cool or what? I get excited anytime someone asks me just to draw a picture for them. But a book? I am so excited! And I'll actually get paid for it. This year is starting out so awesome for me. I hope it is for you too. I miss you lovey. All my lovesies and Snuggles to you. mwah!

  It's starting out fairly well, I think. I'm still looking for a new job... I started going to the gym again, and hopefully I'll have the strength to continue doing so. For now - I just want to finish these commissions!

Now my love prepare for a lecture Nothing significant about August??? Nonononono, my love. August is the time to sit on your porch steps in the morning with a bowl of cereal and watch the sun rise as you remember all the things you did over the summer which is slowly turning to fall. They claim summer ends in Sept but Sept is so busy with the new school year that it doesn't count, OH NO! August is the true end you relax by the stream while it sings to you and then you prepare mentally for all the September stress and rejoice in the summer beauty that you know will soon change to the firey fall and then the gray winter when you'll need those peaceful summer memories to keep you warm.

Ok I'm off my high horse now I adore August and always have if you can't tell, good things always seem to happen to me then and even if they don't I just tend to assosiate it with faires and unicorns and sprites and basicly everything that my mind tells me is happy and magical I said I was going to stop so I shall as of right now

I love Miss January here and I can't wait to see what you have instore for the rest of the year......are you planning on making us wait for each month???? Ok I'll contain myself if that's your plan. Love You Love You Love You

  First and foremost, I want to thank you for buying one of my products from the store here. That was so sweet of you. I love you so much! Now that I have that out of my system, thank you for your kind words about Miss January here. I think the only part of her that I really ended up liking is her hair. I won't make you wait as long as you think for these girls though. I will be posting one a day. Mainly because Susie put a feature on here now where it only shows off one drawing per day per artist now. So I thought it would be a good way to keep the suspense going. I just posted Miss February and I am quite pleased with how she turned out. She is so adorable. ^^
  As for the drawing for the month of August... girl you just gave me so many awesome ideas. I really was at a loss for what to draw for August, but now you have made my head swarm with ideas. I guess sometimes I just need to see things through someone else's eyes. So thank you thank you thank you! You are the absolute greatest! All my love to you. Mwah mwah mwah! ^_^ I think I need to drink less Starbuck's Frappucinos. Eheheh...

I'm going to check out miss feb as soon as I'm done typing you I can live with one a day ......maybe .... it'll give me a garanteed thing to look forward to *HAPPY DANCE* I was born in July but August is my favorite month if you couldn't tell so I'm very glad that I gave you many ideas and haven't I told you before there is no such thing as too much coffee???? Nice one, Kristy woot! I don't think I've seen an ice skating picture here before. I like the BG, it looks like salt to me. Overall it's a fun picture,and I just I love figure skating!-more to watch than to skate, I keep falling on my butt alot heheh! But it's still fun. *nods* I think maybe her feet should've been less round where she's got her skates, it just doesn't look correct. But still good job. XD I wonder what your February girl will look like.
And you're wrong about August, my birthday's in August.
Anyway I will let you know if I think of something ok?

  hah! Maybe I should try to draw YOU for the month of August then! Your birthday is definitely something to be celebrated. And you are completely right that those damn skates are weird-looking. I think I made her feet a bit too skinny around the arch. >_< I cannot ice skate at all. Meaning I have never even tried for fear of falling on my butt. Not to mention I once watched this show where this hockey player got his fingers cut off by someone's ice skate. They all fell on the ice together during a game and WHOOSH! went his fingers. *shudders* So I have a bit of a phobia about ice skating because of it. I'd like to keep my fingers. I am working on Miss Febuary right now as we speak. I just took a break from coloring to check my mail here. She is really cute though. I think you guys wil like her. Oy! I still have to get busy drawing the other 4 months. I am such a slacker. Wish me luck. All my love. Mwah! ^_^

  Hehehe, sounds like a freaky figure skating experience. It's kinda scary to fall on your bum but it only makes the whole thing funnier. The last time I had skated (eons ago) I fell down like seven times on my butt and had asked guys to help me get up. It was so funny! Your Miss February looks great! She reminds me a fashion magazine pic. I daresay I like her even more. ^_^ And I was only joking, but it would be great to have my portrait done by my favourite artist!

  Oohhh... were the guys cute that helped you up? If so, then I would be making myself fall down alot. You really like Miss February? I think she looks pretty dang sexy too. I think so far out of all of them, I like the coloring on her the most even though it is mostly pink. *makes gagging gestures* And I will have you know, that I have August all done now. I hope you will like it. Of course, I can't capture your true beauty, but I have tried. You are so sweet to say that about me being your favorite artist. That makes me feel so warm and bubbly.   Thank you sweetie. I think this one is my least favorite one of the girls I have drawn just because I had a hard time thinking of what to draw in the first place. >_< Ah well. Ah, she's so cute! And I'm lovin' the hair I think the background is detracting from work itself, but, you've got plenty of time to fiddle with that. You have Paint Shop Pro, right? I can teach you a really cool technique to make th bg softer. Just PM me.

  Well, I DID have it, but my software screwed up. I don't know what happened to it, but the program is completely messed up and my disc-rom is kaput, so it will not read any software whatsoever. I am looking to get a new computer in a month or two though. I think this one is my least liked one so far. I have some really adorable girls that I have drawn. I can't wait to share the rest of them with you guys. I was trying to do something for the background on this so it wouldn't look so washed out, but it kind of depleted the looks of it. >_< I think I will stay away from stuff like that until I get my new computer to be able to do something really cool for the background. Live and learn though. All my love. Mwah!

  Aww, thank you sweetie. But out of all of these grls I have done so far, she is the one I probably should have worked harder on. But I won't make that mistake again. I love how February turned out. She is posted now. And I think she came out pretty dang cute. ^^
  As for my computer... *grumble, mumble, snarl* This infernal contraption is just one headache after another. I am going to be so happy to get my new one, but I must wait for my income tax return first. And I will definitely be begging you for your help as soon as I get my PSP up and running again. That adobe Illustrator CS2 I am using right now is so dang technical. I sit there and I am like "huh?" Even their tutorials are confusing! But I have taught myself a little bit here and there on it. But anywhoo... thank you for your kindness sweetheart. All my love. ^_^
