A picture I've wanted to draw since I wrote the excerpt from 'Dragon Twins' called Scar Tissue ( http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/26743497/ ). It kept me vaguely entertained on the plane between Auckland, Christchurch and Invercargil for the car ralley I went on- lack of referances and all XD The face wasn't a problem (isn't usually...), but Bryan for a loooong time had a torso of DOOMYNESS!! XD I put him on a diet, and now he look vaguely what it should. You canonly tell in person though- shrinking does wonders to quality. ^^;
Anyways- the picture in breakdown so people don't go "Hot guy with a sword- great!!" Insteed of "Awwe- poor guy" or whatever.
Bryan (old) holding onto his first metal sword (learning as a child), with a reflection of him as a child learning to sword fight- I donno if you can tell, by younger himis crying cause he doesn't want to learn how to slaughter people with a sword, and would rather use magic. He continues on anyway, cause he respects his father, and cause he can't bear to show that he is scared- Arkillian Dragons aren't ment to be scared of sword play. This Bryan is the innoccent one before the Scar tissue excerpt, where he eventually turns into the colder version holding the sword that doesn't even blink at the sight of blood.
The big scar arose his chest... um, its MENT to be over his heart, but that's ok- I can't change it now ^^;
That's me having 1 1/2hr runs of drawing if that ^^; If you read Scar tissue, you'll see where he go the scar, and why it's like that. Then we can all say together that Bryan is one screwed up kid. Damn, I'm so mean to my characters ^^;

arkillian (Reply)Total Posts: 2930Jan 25, 2006 10:28 pmThanks ^^ The two contrasts were partially so you could see the reflection and yes, for the innocence ^^ It was hard to get the young pose right though- I had to hav his face in the middle to line up with the older version, and also tell its own story- you barely see enough, but its ok ^^ --- |
