Woot! I did it! This is (I think) the finished version of one of my commissions for a friend in Alberta. I've been terribly slow getting it done, but I finially cracked down and did it.
*deep breath* Goodness me am I ever tired. Time to go create a world or something light.

PigletTotal Posts: 159Apr 20, 2006 7:28 amHi Minimaid! It's me, Piglet. I really like this one. You've gone through some pains to get all the shading done and haven't cut any corners. I particularly admire the perspective you've achieved in the boat... something I have always had trouble with. Good job! 3 gold stars --- |

Minimaid (Reply)Total Posts: 1917Apr 20, 2006 10:35 amI very rarely cut corners in commission work. If I try, it always seems to come out all wrong. Thank you so much for your kindness! I'm glad you like my work. --- |

Minimaid (Reply)Total Posts: 1917Apr 23, 2006 10:44 amAw, thanks! Wood is really really easy. It's just a bunch of near-parallel lines scribbled along the grain. I'm glad you like the drawing, dahling! --- |

Mallie3 (Reply)Total Posts: 1450Apr 23, 2006 12:00 pmSo you just make some parallel lines and then...what? I need to know it is for something I am drawing and I am kinda stuck because of the mean wood! And no problem hun. *huggles* ---

Minimaid (Reply)Total Posts: 1917Apr 23, 2006 12:58 pmwell, honestly - I just scribbled lines that went in the same direction as the wood grain. --- |

Mallie3 (Reply)Total Posts: 1450Apr 23, 2006 2:21 pmYes I do...I haven't scanned much of my art work just because I haven't really had a nice time with my scanner...it doesn't like me anymore...and so I really only have my friends to show. I can try and scan it right now and show you if you would like? ---
