I reckon that the effort put into a sketch reflects on how much you put into a commission cause its fast- if you can put alot of detail into a sketch, then you know your subject. I like to put some effort in Ta!

LoL Well, you may feel old, but at heart, you will always be young!! Art does that to a lot of people I know. lol

Being in charge of 8-10 year olds also has that effect on you ^^ I know all the 'in' cartoons XD

LOL Now THAT Has to have its own advantages no? I think I would find something about that to hold to me. Although I had no idea that there ever were 'in' cartoons. Maybe I have always lived in my own little world. lol

When I was a young'un (Which I guess I still am lol), I liked... ummm everything that has gotten cancelled from Nickelodeon >_< Like Angry Beavers, Ren and Stimpy, etc etc. And I watched the cartoons my bro used to watch. As in TMNT, transformers and stuff. LOL And cant forget Speed Racer! WOO! Was THAT a hoot. lol Funny man, funny.

I was never a fan of nickelodeon, but those are some beter cartoons they had. Rememebr Samurai Pizza cats? I can't believe they only did 1 season of it!! And Reboot was cool esq. That was technology in those days. A cartoon in 3D animation. Done WELL. Not like Action man and what ever...

Man I used to be ALL about Nickelodeon. Every morning I would wake up early to go and watch it and the Angry Beavers and everything. Twas good times, good times.

The thing I cant stand about Cartoons today is the fact that they are all the same now. I can watch one episode for one, watch another and predict when exactly that same thing is going to happen in that one. Its sad. Today I like very little cartoons. Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends is hilarious, and so is the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. Ummm... I used to be WAY Into Spongebob, but now he is just ok with me. I watch him now and then. I think that is pretty much it, unless you count Adult Swim and their shows. And Then people wonder why I spend so much time on the computer? What else can I do? Watch bad TV? Pssh. Go outside alone? Does anyone do that, because I cant imagine it.

I've found that the 80s cartoons were turned into comics and comics turned into 90s/2000s cartoons. I think they're being lazy to be quite frank. The art work is frankly apauling on a heap of them too. Se Justice League- I seriously don't like the artist's unrelaxed, staunch proportions. Not all supperheroes have the same body shape as Superman. Alot of other cartoons have simple art as an excuse for appealing to kids. It's quite sad that cartoons don't have that spark anymore. Adult swim is good though

I completely agree with you!! Finally someone else sees it my way! It does get on my nerves that all the shows lok crappy and edged everywhere as if it doesnt even matter. Its a cartoon, not a paper that a four year old cut out while in class. Well, I guess I can live as long as there are still good programs out there like Adult Swim to save the day. Or night, since they come on at 10.

True true I think alot of the apeall of the simpler graphics is that its also easier to copy the artist's style. It's the amount of fanart that is a judge to me for if a cartoon is popular on mass. Fansites if they can't draw it :nods:

Hmmm... for me its more the way people react to the show when you bring it up. Hm, but Im weird, so Eh. lol But yeah, that is a good way to determine it. I never really thought about that. But then, I never knew what fanart was until last year, and I was just beginning to figure our that Fanart didnt JUST involve anime! LoL Yeah, Ignorant I know, but hey, what can I say? I lived in a closed world for most of my life. But man am I breaking out now!
