That is... wow. (I may need a thesaurus -_-)
My friend would die a fangirl's death (lots of bleeding from the nose, blushing, and such)seeing that.
What you do with colored pencils is amazing. Like Atlantis said, the picture in a picture idea really does give it depth.

The picture inside a picture idea is such a neat idea, it gives the whole thing a sense of depth.Yes Nice coloring too, considering it's colored pencil. I don't usually draw with colored pencils because I don't have a great variety of colors. I prefer using ink pens instead,(or whatever the're called) But then again maybe I might do something using them when I quit being lazy.:gigle:
Anywho, I love the way you drew him, his expression and the way you did the clothes' folds. It certainly looks like he's wearing his heart on his sleeve (his shiet in this case)Laughing Great job! Btw, I like your avatar.Smile

Well right now you probably have to submit it into the "Other Fanart" category. But like Arkillian said, you can request a gallery to be made. I was actually thinking about seeing if they would make one for photmanipulation or something. I know myself and quite a few others do that kind of art as well. But anyway, back to the critique. I really like this guy. I don't know who it is, but his hair is bright red like mine. *grins* His right hand seems a bit small in proportion to the rest of his body and his other hand, but that is no big deal. I think if his thumb and fingers were a bit longer it would be perfect. Smile The whole concept of this pic is wonderful and very well thought out. The hand holding up the drawing is a very nice effect indeed. And once again, your coloring is flawless. I have never seen anyone that can use colored pencils to bring their drawings to life the way you do. Keep up the awesome work. Smile

There there. *pets* It is okay. Perhaps it was hiding when you were looking for the category. But the point is that you see it now. And that is all that matters. Smile
Now then, it is not that your character isn't recognizable. It is just that I lead a very sheltered life and have hardly seen many animes. Kind of ironic that my SN is Lady Anime huh? >W< We'll just overlook that whole part. And in my defense, I actually am chained to a wall right now and typing with my toes. Talented aren't I?
I too know the difficulty of getting my pictures 100%. I too always have something that is a little off with my pictures. And the crappy part is that I never realize it until after they are submitted or when someone else points them out. But I don't let it get me down. I stick to it and try better the next time. It is the best way to get better. Smile Haha! SO I guess you could say my art is all done by trial and error. What better way to learn? Have you ever gone to any art schools or anything? I have pretty much taught myself how to draw and am in the process of learning how to do digital art. So I thrive off of reviews from people around here and the other art sites I am on. Okay, I am rambling now, so I will shut up. And being that you are a blind vampire kiss now, it may prove difficult for you to read these messagesI am sending you. ><

lol yeah thats the best way to learn...Smile
no i havent gone to any schools of art just regular boarin one..
i think i started drawing in anime style in the ninth grade..now im in 12th and finishing it,i just learnd by looking at pictures from computer.re drew them and then slowly changed to drawing myself..saiyuki and dbz ..that how id love to call my drawing conbination style.well comparing to how awful where my 1st vegeta sketches.i have progressed a little bit..lol...just week ago i found one vegeta drawing in the ninth grade..ohh my...i laughted for 15 minutes..i was a begginer..now i hope i have moved to different stage...
hmm should upload some of my original charas from my story...ehh?
in one other site i have over 150 pics on display..so here its just the beggining..lol..
you dont ramble ..its so good to recieve cool comments...
          • Jun 13, 2006, 7:56:25 PM UTC
Heheh... and naturally, my comments are the coolest of all. Laughing Kidding. ONly kidding. So what other site are you on? I am on Fanart Central, here, deviant, and Sheezyart.
Want to no a secret? Come closer. No closer. Okay wait! That's close enough. You could almost see up my nose there. Well anyways my secret is this... I never even drew anything anime until a few years ago. It was actually when I discovered the world of anime (hey, I told you I was a late bloomer with that) that I started drawing various characters. More Inuyasha characters than anything else. I found that since the lines were so bold, they were easy to reproduce. But then I got into doing realism. Which is my biggest passion. Well with art anyways. *grins*
I find it is always refreshing to go back and look at my older works. It makes me feel so much better now with my skill level. I am working on digital art. I found a paint program that I could understand because I think it was made for dummies. And I have been learning myself how to color with that. I am getting better at it with each new picture I do. I think I have achieved advanced rookie status.
Anyway, whatever you are doing love in terms of your style, keep doing it because you have definite talent and you should be proud. I know I am so proud of you. *hugging you until the vein on your head pops out due to lack of oxygen*

              • Jun 14, 2006, 9:52:13 AM UTC
Hahaha! And now I bet you see them in a whole new light. I bet you have more of an appreciation for them now that you are a young lad. Big Smile I watch anime purely for cultural purposes. *cough cough* Yeah right. I feel so pathetic. I think I am the only one that didn't discover anime until I was already and adult. >< Ah well. C'est la vie.
                • Jun 14, 2006, 9:57:33 AM UTC
i still think their legs are too long and hair way to weird...:p
