This little character doodle depicts the heads of the Gein household; Lady Shadouria Gein and her husband Lord Symon Gein (also known as Corvus). They made their fortune by adventuring, stealing, plundering and ransacking. Shadouria is a selfish bandit and the real star of the show. Corvus is a necromancer who mainly just follows her around and enjoys the booty in a dignified manner. (His hair is not naturally white, btw. He dyes it! What a poseur!)
As a heraldic symbol the surgiant cockatrice symbolizes terror to all beholders. In this case it's also a self-proclaimed king. The family motto means that "glory should be given to those who deserve it".

Bleh. This deseves better critique than just "I love the colors and poses." THAT goes w/o saying. ^_~ I like how the crest is on their clothing, and the little tink above their cups. It's the cute little details that make all ze difference.
