I'm doing a whole butt-load of artwork for people on devART, and this is the first one on the list. The guy wanted a picture of his character, Mirror. I haven't decided how I'm coloring this yet. Or how I'm inking it. Blarg.
How cute. ^^ I like Minimaid's (and yours) idea of a calligraphy style inking. I didn't know there was a big word for it, but when I heard the explination I knew what was going on. I'd go for it.
I love the initial sketch, though. It looks to me like it should be inked in a sort of calligraphy style... THicker lines where the light isn't hitting, thinner where it does - rather than the good old-fashioned one-size-fits all method.
I was thinking about doing something like that. Hearing someone else suggest it reassures me that I had a good idea, lol. I just need to find a thin pen because doing this on the computer would be really, really hard. My laptop screen and tablet don't have an equal ratio... T_T
small paintbrushes work really well too. My favourite small inking pens, though, are micron pens. I get mine from my university's bookstore - so they're probably comon at stationery stores.
