I got bored at Aramgeddon waiting between signings that I thought I might do a drawing of Bryan Dragon's soul since it 's the most concrete of all the Dragon's souls, and probably the coolest. Desmond's one is the 2nd coolest. Alex's is surprisingly boring for the main character O.o
So yeah, Bryan's soul
It's not too hard to figure it out I guess- he's a grey/blue colour cause he is an air elemental, and he wears a sky blue crown cause of his royal blood. I had to change his beard to this style cause it didn't work with the whole Dragon ears thing...
Next I need to deside if I'm giving Dragon souls genitalia
This is to whether fullbody shots of them are: Sensored by wings/ oddly positioned/ M rated/ wearing clothes.
Problem is, there are Dragons that DON'T have wings... Like Garry Dragon- the Slayer's game Dragon. He kind of... doesn't fly.
Media- 9B pencils (I didn't bring any others
) + Photoshop/wacom tablet

arkillian (Reply)Total Posts: 2995Nov 4, 2006 2:26 pmThanks ^^ I did it between signings at the convention- and I tell you, it's REALLY hard for me to draw when there is heaps of people around me ^^; That, and I had a blunt pencil on the first day X( Not cool. The colour does bump it out though, so I'm glad ^^ --- |

BamboozledByAnimeTotal Posts: 389Dec 16, 2006 3:04 amDude..that character..just litterally pwns my eyeballs to H*** lmao. I sware to gawd that is an awesome character design Arkillian. And a Dragon Soul to boot! That is an awesome Human-like quality combined with a dragon. You know something, his head design reminds me of the Aquatic Zoras from the Legend of Zelda Ocarina game, not a bad thing though!!! The crown circles around him nicely too, a perfect fit. And the beard looks way cool on him, alot better looking than a plain-faced look that most put on their Half human dragon characters. WAY awesome job on this. *Mutters* I come back after so long and find such awesomeness before meh eyes. Just too sweet. PS!! You best be dang sure this is going in my favorites rofl. --- "Any goal worth achieving, is never easy" ~Charlone Claudius; Growlanser Generations~ |

BamboozledByAnime (Reply)Total Posts: 389Dec 16, 2006 3:33 pmWell I think you deserve a comment like that on this, it really is an neat thing to see. And you did do an awesome job with the combination of the two. I'd love to see what you'd do with the other elements if this was just an air-type. What makes it even more exciting to me, is the fact that I LOVE Dragons and you know I like creating my own characters involving the elements, so seeing how well you've intertwined them into your own story and characters is just..well...AWESOME! Lol. Keep 'em coming =] --- "Any goal worth achieving, is never easy" ~Charlone Claudius; Growlanser Generations~ |

arkillian (Reply)Total Posts: 2995Dec 17, 2006 2:33 amIt's not too hard- it's all about showing the essence and feel of an element, andpersonifying it into an object. The challenge is making it look right. For example- in this one, the biggest feature is his wings. Very powerful, so he can fly FAST They would be alot larger than any other dragon. His crown is the next, cause he's of royal blood. The rest of it is aerodynamics. His head looks like it would be more aerodynamic in flight. Edwards was all about grace, and incorperating fish into it. His Drakobitus hair comes through powerfully, cause it is a strong aspect of him. Fire associated with red, so Alex's soul would be red. He'd be on fire too, cause Alex's soul makes him imune to fire damage as well as he deals out. He'd be a dragon immersed in flames. Not sure what else. He'd be chaotic looking too. Um... I'll stop drivelling.. --- |

arkillian (Reply)Total Posts: 2995Dec 17, 2006 7:24 pmYeah- pretty much. Art is only limited to how the veiwer feels about the picture. if it doesn't look possible, then it will be unbelievable. It helps to think of add ons like drawing clothing- attach it to bare skin. It's also the mechanics though which is the tricky part- Knowing how muscles go and bones move. ^^ --- |
