Cloud - Lost in Thoughts

Posted Dec 26, 2006, 11:45:24 PM UTC

:joyful: I needed something to stimulate my hands...for drawing. Since all i've been doing lately is writing words. XD
I swear! Drawing a 3/4 view is soo much harder than drawing a portrait that's front view. I have no idea how to do blond hair in graphite, so i kinda left it white. ^^; I'm sorry if it sucks. T__T

But please enjoy! I hope you like this!! <3<3<3

P.S. This would be the "Deep in Thought" theme for the 100 Theme Challenge

P.P.S. I'm currently hosting the "Winter Love" contest, if you are interested, please visit my latest journal at http://starspirit.sheezyart.com . Many thanks. <3

WOW, very, very nice. This is going as a favorite. About the blond hair, i personally think just leaving it the way you did gives the impression of it being blond. Actually, the hair is one of the reasons i love this drawing.

I like the way the hair is not shaded, it makes this piece look fresh and not overworked so kudos!Grin The graffite effect is very cool, awesome job!! You draw Cloud very well, I must say.Heart Faved this one too.^^

Your picture turned out great, as for the blonde hair, the advice from arkillian is deffinately the best way to go about it, just make sure you have a really good eraser other wise it will ruin your wonderful picture

Contest- Copy and paste the details into a PM for Susie, and she'll list it as a proper competition. It's what that section is for Wink

Blond hair- To give the impression of lack of shadow, a light smudge over all the hair , using your eraser to lightly erase out highlights, and lightly stroking the pencil down the hair length in odd places gives the impression of light and depth SmileKeep the highlights wide or the smudged areas light for a white blond effect- that's what I'd do. Yes
