MinimaidTotal Posts: 1825Jul 30, 2007 8:46 am*purr* I voted for this piece when you entered that scholarship competition. Also saw it on y!, but I hardly ever comment on extras (I feel it gets lost in the throng).. But I must say it's just WONDERFUL to see it here. This painting is nothing short of amazing both artistically and emotionally. Congratulations on creating such excellent work. --- |

PigletTotal Posts: 153Aug 6, 2007 4:34 amWOW! This is nothing short of superb! Maybe I'm old-fashioned but I usually have some reservations about artwork created or modified through computer programs, but for this beauty I'm making an exception. FAVED IT! --- |

Fire Angel Studios (Reply)Total Posts: 61Aug 8, 2007 5:15 pmWhat's so wrong about coloring things on the computer? Imagine how much it would cost to buy a good set of markers or pencils that could rival the quality or color selection of a simple program like Photoshop or GIMP. I'd say if it's far more cost efficient and you can use it, it shouldn't matter. --- "You know what they say: 'Curiosity KILLED the cat.' Piglet (Reply)Total Posts: 153Aug 10, 2007 4:07 amUndoubtedly, the end result is wonderful to behold and I agree that art materials are far more expensive in the long run than a computer program. I was just saying that I'm a little old-fashioned in my own choice of medium and I will still stick to hand-held brushes, pencils and the ilk. Ciao! --- |
