I was playing around with a sketch in Painter again and this is what I've got so far. I've been using the default oil settings. This is Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7. This is a work-in-progress. I think the sketch I started with didn't have enough volume to it so the face is looking a little flat. Oh well, I'm really just experimenting. Let me know if you have any suggestions. I'll work on this some more tomorrow.
This painting is still in the very loose stages so it definately needs refinement.
Let me know what you think.

Creepy is probably a good thing with this character since he's the main villian. Although I don't think I was conciously trying to make it feel creepy. --- |

It may just be me but visible brush strokes bug me alot. So maybe if you smoothed it up alittle bit it might make look even better. I don't know if that helped any but I still love it!....don't hurt me --- Yes we can! |

I like the brushstrokes in the background though. They look kind of cool. His face doesn't look quite right either. I'll have to take another crack at this when I get the chance. --- |
