Aniki why do you hate me?

Another illustration for The Lucky Ones by Terri Botta. This was inspired by chapter 22 when Sesshoumarou remembers a piece of a conversation he had with the young IY after rescuing him from Izayoi's relatives:

"Aniki, why do you hate me?"

"Because you are a hanyou, a filthy half-breed who is beneath me."

"Chichi-ue and Haha-ue loved me."

"Chichi-ue and his human wench are dead. I am all you have now until you can fend for yourself. Get used to it."

"If you hate me, why did you come for me and take me with you?"

"Because it is my duty as Chichi-ue's eldest son and heir. Chichi-ue should have drowned you at birth. Instead he risked his life to save you and that human bitch from death. Neither of you deserved to live! But you are my brother and I am honor bound to protect you. Expect nothing else from me."
