The Cratter Critters! (Title inspired by Spongebob's Sandy, who has the uncanny tendency to say "sea-critters" [emoticon] .
_________
For those who want to read on:

These are the pre-empire time Penguins (before their meeting with the Tundawians [who are now in those airships in the sky]). They live in big cratter-like residences.

There no particular pricing or preferences for particular places in the cratter (as far as I know of), but the center/deepest areas are usually reserved for pub and general public out-going facilities.

Thanks, Mars! I should really get my hands down to doing more of these really detail fine-pen-stroke pictures.

Nice. One can never have too many penguins. Seriously.

I like the amount of detail. And the way you did the clouds and shaded the trees.

Nice work on the shadows, the details are also remarkable.
Mmm... if you want my opinion, I would have made thicker the objects lines in the front line while the back objects lines, thinner, that would give your drawing a special perspective effect.

Thanks for the comment; opinions are always welcome, since I believe they make each comment more meaningful. Yeah, I do agree with the line width- but would too thick a line detract from the fine detail effect of the piece? Perhaps putting contrast of shading to more use could achieve the perspective effect too, what do you think?

Mmm... of course a too thick line would distract the attention from where you want it to be, so you have to find the correct thickness, I usually work with a 0.5 pencil for both the first plane lines and front shadows, that way I can achieve a certain balance of thickness and detail.
Shading more or shading by sections -first plane more detailed, the second less and so on- will also give your drawing that special effect, but I like a combination of both, so you have to try out and see with what you feel more comfortable with. [emoticon]
