Still in-progress! It's a very large drawing and I had a period of inactivity on it. It's back at my studio now though, and I've started work on it again. I may have overkilled on the shading, but I'm so close to this drawing that it's difficult for me to really SEE it.
You can roast me if you want. I'd like to hear some honest feedback on this one. Just keep in mind that it's a work in progress, so I haven't finished shading everything yet. Thanks.
Mello is from Death Note (c) Tsugumi Ohba

jojo-kun (Reply)Total Posts: 207Apr 11, 2008 11:53 pmIt needs a lot more shading before it's finished. I've just started shading his left arm (the far one), and his right arm needs shape. Also, his hand and the chocolate bar need more work. |

Kath13Total Posts: 12Apr 12, 2008 12:08 amWell I'm no expert and so as far as I can see this is coming along really nicely. I love the effects on the skin and can't wait to see the finished item. |

pazazzTotal Posts: 374Apr 12, 2008 7:11 pmI think this is a lovely piece, I am particularly impressed with the way you did the scar tissue and feathers, both difficult to do correctly. The hair is also well done. While the eyes are in keeping with the look of the anime/manga character, they seem a bit off in the realistic style that the rest of this piece is done in. The shape seems too sharp at the outer corners. Nice work, thanks for sharing it with us. |
