Please note: Though I am not a fan of this shipped pairing by any stretch, this image was not created to slight those that do favor it. So, in the off chance that I have offended anyone with this little spoof piece - my apologies.
This is my submission to the 'That Time' club that is located on DA. This month's theme: Out of Character.
Initially, I wasn't going to take part in this month's contest (as I sorely lacked any ideas for a fun little piece to contribute); but was inspired to create this piece after a friend had a particularly 'fun' encounter with a rabid Sess/Kago fan on Gaia (in any fandom, everyone is entitled to their own opinions on what characters work well together - but one should never cram their faved shipped pairing down another's throat with the belief that such a pairing could work; especially when their only proof that such a pairing could happen is largely based on badly written fanfics where the characters are handled terribly out of character or events that take place in the manga that are significantly mis-read).
The shipper fan's opinion (in this case) about the Sess/Kago hookup was essentially summarized in my friend's private comment - which I used in this piece (this being Sesshoumaru's Out of Character reaction to the idea that Kagome is actually a hanyou in disguise). XP
In the canon universe, even if Kagome were a hanyou (which was sealed away by magical means until she reached a certain age - as per the the explanation in the fic that had been described by said rabid shipper), Sesshoumaru's canon self (with his pride of being a pure blood youkai and his barely there tolerance for his hanyou brother) would never give her a second glance, let alone take her as his lover (not to mention, Kagome would not possess miko powers - as being a hanyou would prevent that from happening).
