SaikonoYumeTotal Posts: 316Oct 4, 2005 6:03 pmOh, this is spiffy. I love all the highlights in this, and the little sparkles. I like his face, too. It's creepy enough to be a demon but not creepy enough to scare the hell out of you. Well, it might if you saw it in the middle of the night and all that horror movie jazz. He looks a bit playful, like eddies tend to be. I think you really captured the subject well! --- That which fell from the sky was not rain

SliverbaneTotal Posts: 280Oct 4, 2005 7:28 pmI hope you don't mind me compating this to H.G. Giger's work. I love his stuff and this piece holds the same allure as his work. Dark, haunting and hard not to look at. --- Guano smells like a dirty sock full of old cheese and farts! - Gonard |

karana kaouTotal Posts: 1094Oct 4, 2005 7:39 pmI agree with both Nuriko and Silverbane; there's something about this that begs for further exploration. You've certainly mastered that dark and light blob technique my friend, and you use it in an indeterminable, descriptive way (i.e. the hair and the veins on the neck), that leaves our brains filling in the pieces. It's so very neat to see these improvements Zac, thank you for sharing them with us. --- "I am lost. Lady Anime79Total Posts: 2839Oct 5, 2005 9:34 amYou know, I was always wondering just what it was that was always spitting that sand in my eyes while driving down those dirt roads. And believe me, in Nebraska we have alot. I really love how your imagination works Zac. The things you can come up with in the most trivial things. Like your monster that lived in your dresser and ate holes in your socks. Or the one that kept using your toothbrush. >_< And you know what? I absolutely love that you are working with these different sepia tones. it is something very different from your other works and it is working very well for you. As for Mr big tall and gruesome here, he is probably your creepiest character that I have seen yet. I love the whole transparency of him as he is forming out of the dust. You know something else? If this is what you can do for this guy, I would LOVE to see your interpretation of The Sandman. That would be something to see indeed. Mahvelous work Zac. --- Laughter is the best medicine and your face is curing the world. |

zacula (Reply)Total Posts: 646Oct 6, 2005 6:58 pmWhy thank you, very kind as always. I am thinking about puting your words to use and creating a sandman of sorts. i'll post it if it comes about and see if it meets up to expectation. |

Lady Anime79 (Reply)Total Posts: 2839Oct 7, 2005 11:12 am*happy dance* All right! That will be awesome if you do that Zac! Your "creatures" if you want to call them that are absotively intriguing and I bet you would make an awesome Sandman. So I will just wait and see if he ever pops up here at PaperDemon. --- Laughter is the best medicine and your face is curing the world. |

I can't believe how well you manage to put fear into this drawing, or fear is what i see, but it is powerfull.
